Shift knob: momo and sparco

A race car is like a human body, everything is connected to work as one. The shift knob is connected to the shifter, the shifter is a specially designed rod that links the shift knob to the linkage cable and the linkage cable travels from the transmission bell housing to the lower shifter linkage. When you shift from gear to gear, the shifter pulls the linkage cable. Depending on what direction you are forcing the shifter it will pull the linkage cable that then forces the switching of gears. To a normal everyday driver a shift knob may not be an important thing. To an automotive enthusiast, the shift knob is important.

A well constructed shift knob will fit perfectly in ones hand. The Sparco shift knob is designed to fit directly in ones palm. The reason you want the shift knob to fit perfectly and comfortably in your hand is simple. If you do not have a good grip on the shifter, you may be prone to miss-shifts. It was said before a car is like a human body and that everything is connected to work as one. Since the human is sitting in the car, he/she also has to be connected perfectly with the car to work properly. The Momo shift knob is a great example of a perfectly crafted, functional shit knob.

Both Momo and Sparco have a great reputation in the motor racing world. The Sparco shift knob can be seen in almost every race car. Import tuners love the way the Sparco designed shift knobs tie into almost ever design scheme. Momo shift knobs have a unique design. Though they are made for racing, they both have stylish designs.
