Momo Racing Company

In 1966 race car driver Gianpiero Moretti was on his way to becoming a race car legend. On his journey into becoming a top race car driver he was not satisfied with the way race car products where being produced at the time. Mr. Moretti took it upon himself to revolutionize car parts. He designed specially built products for racing cars and drivers. Between 1970 - 1980 Mr. Moretti made his first contract deal to supply one of the most prominent automobile companies with his self designed Momo steering wheel. The company was Ferrari and due to the benefits of the Momo designed steering wheel, Ferrari won the 1964 Formula 1 World Championship.

In the 70's, Momo racing started to think bigger. It started to produce and export its products to dealers across the nation. Thanks to its reputation on the racing track, Momo racing had a place in racing history waiting for it. Gianpiero Moretti signed a number of high profile world renowned race car drivers and cars to its list of champions. Momo had its sights on creating special design research and development crew. In 1981 Momo design chose not to keep its attention solely on car design and expanded its sights on leisure accessories as well. The first creation of Momo racing was the development of a special edition unique style watch.

As the years passed, Momo had built a name for itself in the top race world. Momo design expanded its sights once again. It began to produce high quality glasses, golf trolleys, bicycles, steering wheels and racing helmets and seats. Though the differences in the products are great, they all are made by Momo's elegant and dynamic designs.

In the 20th century Momo racing broke apart from its contractors and became an independent company. They found a new home in Milan and split itself into three divisions. The divisions include the strategic hub, the licensing and the franchising division. The first Momo Design franchise store was opened in the center of Milan.
